All available California Highway Patrol officers will be on duty this Memorial Day weekend in a statewide crackdown on impaired driving. Local law enforcement agencies throughout the state will also be out in full force over the holiday weekend, so be sure to plan ahead for a sober ride if your plans for celebration involve alcohol. The Maximum Enforcement Period is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 23, and will wrap up at midnight on Monday, May 26.
