Individual charged with juvenile crimes in California party death

A Halloween party turned deadly for one person recently in California. One person was shot while attending the party, and the alleged shooter was a juvenile male. Investigators are still looking into the exact details of the incident, and they did arrest a youth who has been charged with murder.

The slain man was attending the party when he walked outside and was shot. Los Angeles police report that the shooting was likely tied to ongoing gang violence in the area, although investigators do not believe that the person who was shot was a gang member. So far the suspect in the killing has not been named and has only been identified as a juvenile male.

The suspected shooter was eventually tracked down by authorities and arrested on Nov. 2, just a few days after the shooting. He is currently being held at a juvenile detention center. The family of the individual who was killed is in mourning. They have set up a GoFundMe account in order to raise funds for his funeral expenses.

Sadly, two lives have been affected by the incident at the California party. When an individual is charged with serious juvenile crimes, the charges can portend serious impacts on the person's life. It is important that the investigators correctly identify the person responsible for the crime, and gather all the relevant facts, because the prosecution will bear the burden of proof in the court case. The young man is likely preparing a criminal defense against the charges. Other juveniles facing similar charges may choose to use the help of an experienced lawyer when building a strong defense.
