Individuals charged with juvenile crimes in California

A series of offenses led to the arrest of several young men locally. Charges of theft and attempted murder were doled out to a total of five individuals. One of the young California men was 18 years of age, while another four people were charged with juvenile crimes. A series of six crimes happening over the span of one night and day set officials out searching for those responsible.

The events occurred during the night of Wednesday Oct. 11 and spilling into the early hours of Thursday morning. The first incident included three suspects purportedly stealing merchandise from a local drug store. After that, it was reported that four individuals attempted to enter a home and were stopped by the homeowner in the yard. Reportedly, the homeowner was shot and the suspects fled.

Police say three more burglaries then occurred, and then, the 18-year-old suspect was finally arrested on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle. Authorities investigated and supposedly linked the man to other crimes. The three juveniles were arrested later on Thursday, and were allegedly linked to the robberies that had occurred overnight. Another juvenile was arrested in relation to the shooting. The case still remains under investigation by the police.

The California juveniles and the adult have all been detained. It is likely that the individuals are contemplating a defense to the charges levied against them. In view of their young ages and the seriousness of the accusations, it will be important to treat the matter with care. Many persons accused of crime choose to hire a criminal defense attorney for help in building a strong defense against charges of juvenile crimes.
