Juvenile crimes: California juvenile arrested in shooting case

Adolescence can be a difficult time for parents and children. Parenting becomes so much harder when one's child is accused of a crime. It can be so important to prepare a good criminal defense for children accused of juvenile crimes, as the effects of the court's ruling may ripple through their lives forever. This is especially true for extremely serious accusations such as murder, as one recent California case illustrates.

Police were called to a residence in El Dorado County due to suspicious circumstances on April 28. When officers arrived, they found a 41-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. An underage family member and a vehicle were reported missing. Police allegedly located the teen some time later and booked the minor on murder charges.

The news release indicated that the juvenile allegedly shot and killed the older family member, although the investigation has not been finalized. Officers are still continuing to look into the incident for a complete picture of the details. An El Dorado County Sheriff spokesperson was not immediately available to give comments on the pending case.

Murder charges are among the most serious of crimes. Families experiencing such a challenging event may need help in preparing the child's criminal defense. An attorney can be an invaluable resource when families attempt to defend against accusations of juvenile crimes. California families may want to consider the aid of a lawyer if they find themselves in a situation where a juvenile faces criminal charges. An experienced criminal defense attorney can thoroughly examine all of the evidence being used against the individual facing the alleged charges in order to determine the best possible defense strategy.
