Erratic behavior results in drug charges in California

Some people want to create an elaborate wedding proposal for their significant other. While some may plan elaborate flash mobs, for example, one man allegedly chose to propose through social media after making what is said to have been a dangerous climb in California. Unfortunately, this attempt turned into a rescue mission and later into an arrest on drug charges when others in the area accused him of behaving erratically.

Rescue workers responded to the scene after a 27-year-old man reportedly climbed a rock face to propose one morning in early April. Afterward, he is has said to have attempted to climb down a different, more precarious section of the rock, causing him to become stuck. He was ultimately rescued by helicopter and faces a charge of trespassing. He must also repay the costs of the rescue.

Reports indicate that the man remained in the area following the rescue. Police returned to the scene after witnesses complained that he was acting strangely. Police claim that he was under the influence and that they discovered methamphetamine in his possession, resulting in his arrest and additional charges.

For a man who faced a situation that could have resulted in his death and made a marriage proposal in the same day, behavior that others may not classify as normal is likely not surprising. However, the man must now deal with the drug charges. As a result of the charges, he may choose to seek the advice of a defense attorney experienced with California law in order to help him navigate the criminal court system.
